The smallest natural shell earrings in my shop! Tiny round pieces of genuine abalone shell in its undyed natural beauty, on small sterling hooks or posts. The shells are a mere 6 mm (just under 1/4 of an inch) long, but you can also order larger pieces if you prefer. Each earring has some green with blue, purple, pink and yellow also possible, but the characteristic iridescence of abalone means that they show different colour at some angles. Every earring is handmade by me, hand wire-wrapped using sterling silver pins.

You have two choices of major colour combinations: shells with mostly green and blue, or ones with more pink in them. Please note that each shell could have all of these hues as well as some yellow and purple, as each piece is natural and unique; the choices just reflect the dominant colours of each pair. Please check all of the photos for examples - you will receive earrings similar to those shown. Some of the shells will be two-sided, but the backs will not necessarily match the fronts.

You also have 4 choices of sizes: the tiny earrings shown in the first photos, or larger pieces of abalone up to 12 mm (1/2 an inch); photo 8 shows all of the sizes in relation to each other and a ruler, while the last photo shows the smallest size on top of a US quarter and a 2 Euro coin.

6 mm is around 1/4 inch
8 mm is around 1/3 inch
10 mm is around 2/5 inch
12 mm is around 1/2 inch

Finally, these earrings can be made on sterling silver hooks or posts, hypoallergenic surgical steel hooks or posts, or sterling or steel leverbacks. Bright sterling is shown in the pictures.
