This gold-plated magnetic clasp can both extend your jewelry chains & necklaces, as well as make them easier to put on & take off by converting hard-to-open clasps to magnetic clasps. It's a disability aid that is great for people who have strength or dexterity issues, as magnetic clasps are much easier to deal with than normal lobster clasps.

The last photo slot shows how it works - attach the lobster clasp end to the jump ring on the necklace or bracelet, then take the clasp on the bracelet & attach it to the split ring end of the converter. If you don't want to make your necklace longer but require the ease of a magnetic clasp, you can often hook the lobster clasp end directly through a chain link to shorten the necklace.

With both jump rings, the extender is just over 1 1/2 inches (3.9 cm) long; the 2 pieces of the magnetic clasp together measure around 3/4 of an inch (19 mm) in length, and the width is 1/4 inch (just a hair over 6 mm).

Like most (if not all) jewellery, these extenders should not be worn in the shower/bath/pool, or around any chemicals or abrasives, as the surface may be damaged. With proper care, these extenders can last years.

This purchase is more of the same magnetic extenders I love and bought from this Seller previously. They are magnets, plus extenders. Most importantly, these have split jump rings, which I really love. In the past, a detective jump ring on a magnetic clasp just opened up, and my 14kt gold chain and pendant fell off. I am so happy to find these with split jump rings that will not open up, so I can feel safe and have the ease of magnetic extenders.
